Ringing Hills

The neighborhood of Ringing Hills is situated in the northeastern region of Pottsgrove in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The main roadways within the community include North Charlotte Street, North Keim Street, Bleim Road, and Buchert Road. Sprogels Run flows along the western and eastern borders. 

History

The town and its name became known to the general public due to one of nature's wonders. This entailed a group of boulders known as "ringing rocks," which received its greatest attention during the development of trolley cars. History has it that boulders imbedded in the earth will not ring, but the ones that rest on other boulders will "ring" if struck with something hard. There are other boulders similar to those found in the town, but they do not offer the same wonderful sound.

Neighborhood

The community is home to the Ringing Hill Fire Company, established in 1956 by a group of 23 men. The fire department is located on White Pine Lane and consists of eight members. 

Within the community are many dining options, including:

• HG Palermo's Pizza
• Gio's II Pizza Shop
• Brookside Family Restaurant

In the northern section of the community is the Ringing Dale Farm. Visitors can pick and cut their own Christmas tree or select from some precut options. A gift shop can also be found on the farm just off of Needhammer Road. 

Education

Residents can attend public schools that help form the Pottsgrove School District. Some of the ones they are zoned for include:

• Ringing Rocks Elementary School - located on Kauffman Road
• Lower Pottsgrove Elementary School - located on Buchert Road
• Pottsgrove Middle School - located on North Hanover Street
• Pottsgrove Senior High School - located on Kauffman Road

Other schools within the neighborhood include:

• The Wyndcroft School
• The Goddard School of Sanatoga
• HENS Preschool
