Church located on Ashton Road and the oldest African American church.

The carriages mainly worked to transport workers from the steep Ashton Road to the bus stop in Holmes Circle.
Today, the Joseph Ashton Farms is now called the Torresdale Filter Plant, and the area is still served by the freight railroad.
