Sycamore Mills is a neighborhood in Upper Providence Township, Pennsylvania. It is located at the geographical coordinates of 39.9459 degrees north latitude and 75.4210 degrees west longitude. Ridley Creek State Park

Ridley Creek State Park is a Pennsylvania state park in Sycamore Mills. Also situated in the townships of Edgmont, Middletown and Upper Providence, it encompasses 2,606 acres of land. The park offers recreational activities such as:

The land that is now the Ridley Creek State Park was once the estate of well-known horse breeder Walter M. Jeffords Sr. and his wife, Sarah. They had acquired the land in small parcels starting all the way back in 1912. In the late 1960s, most of the property was acquired by the state. In August of 1972, the Ridley Creek State Park was established. It is now managed by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.

Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation

Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation is a living museum in Ridley State Park. Offering a nationally recognized and authentic representation of daily life on a pre-Revolutionary farm, it sits on the 112-acre farm that once housed Joseph Pratt's family from 1720 to 1820. The museum now showcases a large animal paster, lower crop field, pigpen, kitchen garden, necessary, farmhouse, well and well sweep, stone cabin, blacksmith forge, wagon barn, springhouse and Pratt Run. Admission is $10 per person for those 13 to 64 years of age, $6 for those 4 to 12 years of age and 65 and up, and free for children under four years old. The museum is only open to the public on the weekends from April through November.
