Berkshire Heights

The neighborhood of Berkshire Heights is located within the borough of Wyomissing in Berks County, Pennsylvania. History

The greater area began to develop around the 1740s after residents of northern Lancaster County petitioned for a separate county to be created. Under the assistance of the German immigrant Conrad Weiser, the county was officially established in 1752, taking portions of Chester County, Lancaster County, and Philadelphia County. The town's name was in honor of William Penn's family home.
