Ashbourne is a neighborhood in the Elkins Park unincorporated community of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Situated at the coordinates of 40.0676 degrees north latitude and 75.1302 degrees west longitude, it is also within proximity to the areas of West Oak Lane and Melrose Park. The main roads serving the neighborhood are Old York Road (Pennsylvania State Route 611), Cheltenham Avenue, Oak Lane Road, New 2nd Street, Ashbourne Road, and Church Road.

Myers Elementary School

Myers Elementary School is the 572nd best public elementary school in Pennsylvania. Offering classes for students in Kindergarten through 4th grade, it has a total enrollment of 341 students and a student-to-teacher ratio of 14 to 1. Based on state test scores, 62% of its students are proficient in reading and 52% in math. The above average elementary school is part of the Cheltenham School District. It can be found in the Ashbourne neighborhood on Montgomery Avenue.

Gratz College

Gratz College is a Jewish college in Ashbourne. It was established in 1856 when the Hebrew Education Society of Philadelphia and the Banker, philanthropist and communal leader Hyman Gratz joined together to create a Hebrew teachers college. The private liberal arts college offers undergraduate programs,  graduate certificate programs, master's programs, doctoral programs, and adult continuing education. It is also home to the Tuttleman Library for Jewish Studies, the Jewish Community High School, the first online program for Master of Arts in Holocaust and Genocide Studies, and more. Since 1967, the college has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.

High School Park

High School Park is a passive recreation park just north of Ashbourne on the corner of High School Road and Montgomery Avenue. Managed by the Friends of High School Park non-profit volunteer organization, the park was established to preserve the natural ecosystem that is within its 11-acre space. Today, it is a great place for residents to unwind and relax. You could take a leisure walk on its paved pathway with your dog or family and admire the many native plants that grow on the property. The park is also a valuable educational resource for local schools. It is open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
