A 42-year-old man from Chester, PA was arrested on drunk driving charges last month after crashing his vehicle in Concord Township.
According to reports, the man was driving on Smithbridge Road near the town of Concordville, PA at approximately 5:50 p.m. on Monday, April 17th, when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a telephone pole on the side of the road. State Police say that the man had been trapped inside of his vehicle after the accident. Emergency responders arrived on the scene and took the man to Crozer Medical Center in Media, PA to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries sustained in the car crash.
A 31-year-old woman was recently arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol after a traffic stop in Rockledge, PA.
According to reports, police officers stopped the woman who was driving on the 700 block of Huntington Pike in Rockledge on Saturday, April 8th, after noticing that she was driving recklessly. Police ultimately arrested the 31-year-old woman from Warrington, PA on charges of careless driving and suspicion of DUI.
A 34-year-old man was charged with intoxicated driving following a traffic stop in Abington, Pennsylvania on Saturday, April 29th.
According to reports, local police officers had been investigating a hit and run accident involving a parked vehicle on Chelsea Avenue. The officers were told that the suspect’s vehicle was light-colored and was last seen heading down Chelsea Avenue towards Pennsylvania Avenue.
The 34-year-old man was driving a vehicle that matched the description of the vehicle reported in the hit and run accident. The man was stopped at 4:16 a.m. near the intersection of Walnut Avenue and Chelsea Avenue in North Hills, PA. Abington police arrested the man after he allegedly showed signs of intoxication. He was ultimately charged with driving under the influence and refusing to submit to a chemical blood test.
A Pottstown man was charged with DUI and possession of marijuana after being stopped by police for speeding in West Whiteland, PA.
West Whiteland police reportedly made the stop on Friday, April 28th, after witnessing a vehicle speeding on Route 100 in Exton, PA. According to reports, the officer on the scene conducted several field sobriety tests which the driver allegedly failed. Marijuana and drug paraphernalia were also reportedly found in the man’s vehicle during the traffic stop.
The man was ultimately arrested for driving under the influence, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A 24-year-old man was arrested for drunk driving on Sunday, April 2nd, after nearly causing an accident on West Cypress Street in Kennett Square, PA.
According to police reports, police noticed a 2005 Infinity traveling in the wrong direction on the one-way road before making a sharp turn into the parking lot of a restaurant, nearly striking pedestrians before parking the vehicle.
Police pursued the man who exited his vehicle and attempted to enter the restaurant. Police reportedly noticed several indicators of intoxication. The man was arrested on suspicion of DUI and taken to the Pennsylvania State Police Department in Avondale, PA after allegedly failing multiple field sobriety tests.
The man submitted to a chemical breath test at the police station which reportedly showed the man had a BAC of .146%.
The man was ultimately charged with two counts of drunk driving along with 5 other traffic violations.
An 82-year-old man from Oxford, PA was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol on Sunday, April 2nd, after being stopped by police in New Garden Township.
According to reports, police pulled over a vehicle for erratic driving near the intersection of Baltimore Pike and Reese Street in Toughkenamon, PA.
Police reportedly observed several indicators of possible intoxication when making contact with the driver. The man was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving and taken to the nearby Pennsylvania State Police station in Avondale, PA where he submitted to a chemical breath test that resulted in a BAC of .094%. He was ultimately charged with two counts of DUI and two additional traffic offenses before being released.
