The slip and fall lawyers in Lenni, PA, sponsor this article to present a detailed excerpt about the neighborhood.
Lenni is a community in Middletown Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. The neighborhood belongs to ZIP code 19052 and area codes 610 and 484. Located at the intersection of Lenni Road and Lungren Road, Lenni is a charming town suitable for growing families.
The history of the town of Lenni dates back to January 2, 1797, when Thomas Griffith sold a tract of land to John Lungren, a paper manufacturer from Upper Providence. Griffith sold to Lungren intending to develop a mill which was later built in 1798.
The mills were a key element of the area for a significant amount of time, and by 1877, the mills were leased to Robert Paterson, Union Army General.
Another key element of historical significance in Lenni is the Lenni Station, a defunct commuter rail station that stood on the corner of Station Lane and Lenni Road.
The railroad stop served on the West Chester Branch and later on the SEPTA R3 West Chester line.
Passenger service along the line stopped in 1986. The station closed due to poor track conditions and the county's desire to allocate funding towards the Exton station on SEPTA's Paoli/ Thorndale line.
The town of Lenni may be small, but it offers residents access to beautiful outdoor parks and facilities. Some of which include,
Lenni Park
Chester Creek
Luck Penny Farms
