The personal injury attorneys in Fairhill, PA, sponsor this article to present readers with a detailed excerpt about the area.

Fairhill is a neighborhood in North Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Serving as the center of the Hispanic community in Pennsylvania, Fairhill is known for its "El Centro de Oro" strip in the heart of the community.

Fairhill is located within ZIP code 19133 and area codes 215, 267, and 445.

The history of modern-day Fairhill began with the Isaac Norris Family Fair Hill Estate. The father of the family, Isaac Norris, was a merchant, mayor, and statesman (1701–1766) of Philadelphia.

At the time, Fairhill was also home to the Fair Hill Burial Ground, a Quaker cemetery established in 1703. George Fox obtained the land for the cemetery from William Penn, founder of Pennsylvania.

The burial ground fell into disuse until the 1840s until the Hicksite Quaker community of Philadelphia began using the land once again. The Fair Hill Burial Ground was listed on the National Register for Historic Places on August 7, 1998.

By the 1880s, Fairhill experienced a shift when it began to develop urban characteristics. The area saw an influx of German immigrants. With the help of Henry Stommel, a wealthy resident, the German Catholic families of Fairhill established Saint Bonaventure Parish, commonly referred to as Saint Bonaventura, in 1890.

Saint Bonaventura was located at Ninth and Auburn Streets and saw a change in leadership when Fr. Hubert Hammeke, a German immigrant priest, took hold of the property. By 1894, the parish began the construction of a Gothic Style church and was completed by 1906. The church was most notable for its clock tower and spire.

You can still find the church today located at 1301 SW 136th Ave, Davie, FL 33325.

Fairhill saw yet another shift in the 1950s, when many German-American families started to leave the neighborhood and African-Americans and Latinos, mostly Puerto Ricans, took their place.

In order to accommodate the new demographics of the neighborhood, the parish created a Spanish mass and the Carino Center for Spanish-speaking children in 1975.

El Centro De Oro

One of the most notable areas in present-day Fairhill, PA, is El Cento De Oro, also known as "The Goldentown." The area is a commercial district in Fairhill hosting various Hispanic businesses and organizations. Some of the most notable locations within the district include,
