The borough of Ivyland is located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The borough spans 0.35 square miles and hosts an approximate population of 941 with a population density of 2,650.70 per square mile. Ivyland belongs to zip code 18974 and area codes 215, 267, and 445.

History

Ivyland was originally founded by Quaker Edwin Lacey in 1873. Lacey settled in the area and purchased 40 acres of land. That area of the property would eventually become a very important section in Ivyland.

The 40 acres was the land upon which the New Hope Railroad would later be constructed, opened in 1874, and completed by 1891. The land was also planned to host a large hotel to serve the centennial and act as the site of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

With the introduction of the railroad to the land, the area began to develop. By October 26, 1889, the neighborhood's first post office opened. Shortly following, the town was incorporated as a borough 1903.

Ivyland has continued to flourish and develop since its incorporation.

Today, the town is considered a desirable place to live and even consists of the Ivyland Historic District which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on March 21, 2002.

The historic district consists of 133 contributing buildings dating back to 1873. Many the contributing building are residential buildings built by Joseph A. Carrell designed in the Late Victorian architectural style.
