Roxborough is a neighborhood in Northwest Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The neighborhood is located along Schuylkill River and northeast of Wissahickon Creek. Roxborough belongs to zip code 19128 and area code 267.
Roxborough originally belonged to the Roxborough Township until the Act of Consolidation in 1854, when it was incorporated into the city of Philadelphia.
During the late 1800s, Roxborough was known as a wealthy area notable for its Mananyunk mills and business owners. The Manayunk mills' revenue contributed to constructing the town's schools, parks, and notable Victorian manor.
Due to the neighborhood's high elevation, the area became the site of several radio stations in the 1950s.

The Academy for the Middle Years Northwest School, formerly referred to as the William Levering School, was built from 1894-1896. The stunning building reflects the Art Deco and Colonial Revival architectural styles designed by Irwin T. Catharine. The school building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on November 18, 1988.
