History

Before Tullytown was partitioned as a borough in 1891, the community was a village in Falls Township for many years.

Falls Township was settled by the Dutch in 1616 and then founded by William Penn, founder of Pennsylvania, in 1681. The township included several other villages and areas, including Fairless Hills, Fallsington, Dogtown, Kildorpy, Kirkbridesville, Levittown, Morningside, and Oxford Valley.
