The first historic landmark is the Mennonite Meeting House, also referred to as the German Mennonite Church. The church is a signifier of the town's earliest Dutch and German settlers in 1683.

Many of Morton's first settlers were of Mennonite background, and in 1708, several families in the area built the church. The Mennonite Meeting House was the first Mennonite church in the United States and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on July 23, 1973.

The second historic landmark in Morton is the Roosevelt Elementary School. The school building took two years to build, from 1922-1924, and was designed by Irwin T. Catherine in the Colonial Revival architectural style.

The school building is notable for its entrance pavilion with stone pilasters. The Roosevelt Elementary School building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on November 19, 1988.

Lastly, the Robert Fulton School building, also designed by Irwin T. Catherine, was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 4, 1986. The school building was built from 1935-1937 in the Moderne architectural style. The building was named after the engineer and inventor Robert Fulton.
