Feltonville is a neighborhood in North Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The area is located east of Logan and Hunting Park and west of Lawncrest and Juniata. The working-class neighborhood is found within ZIP codes 19120, 19124, 19140, 19134, and area codes 215, 267, and 445.

Before Feltonville was as we know it today, in 1890, the area was called "Wyoming Villa" or "Wyoming Valley."

The land was later named Feltonville after the Felton family, who resided on Fisher's Lane.

The earliest residents of Feltonville were attracted to the area for its high grounds, stunning home, and rolling farms. Before 1900, Feltonville was a suburb of Philadelphia where the only forms of public transportation were the Reading Railroad's train from 3tf and Berks Street to Newtown. The singular station stood on the northwest boundary of a local 23-acre farm.

You could gain access to the station from the Rau mansion, a grand lakeside home built in 1888 where David Titlow, the undertaker, lived. The station could also be viewed from the residences of Edwin P. Frick and Thomas Harvey. The train ran north, south, and westward of present-day Roosevelt Boulevard.

In the early days of Feltonville, the neighborhood was home to a real estate company called "Wyoming Land and Improvement Association" ran by Mr. Eckersley who employed Mr. John Walmsley to divide the area's fields into building lots.

The Walmsley family resided on Second Street Pike in the first new house built by the Wyoming Land Company.

During the time, Feltonville was home to the Feltonville School, which had 12 grades taught by only one teacher. The school was fairly small, with only 5-6 students.

The building that occupied the school, known as Feltonville School No. 2 or the Feltonville School, designed by architect Henry deCourcy Richards, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

The neighborhood faced a change in 1927 when the City of Philadelphia deemed a corner of the recreation field along Wyoming Avenue as the building for the Wyoming Branch of the Free Library in Philadelphia. The library would become a neighborhood staple once it was completed in 1930 and was actually the last Carnegie library built with funds provided by philanthropist Andrew Carnegie.
