Sidley is a neighborhood in East Whiteland Township, Pennsylvania. Located at the geographical coordinates of 40.0657 degrees north latitude and 75.5624 degrees west longitude, it is within close proximity to the communities of Devault, Chester Springs, Lionville, Exton, Frazer and Malvern. The main roads serving the area are Sildley Road, Phoenixville Pike, Yellow Springs Road, Pennsylvania Turnpike (Interstate 76), Conestoga Road, and U.S. Route 202.

Great Valley Middle School

Great Valley Middle School is the fourth best public middle school in Chester County. Part of the Great Valley School District, it is situated on Phoenixville Pike in Sidley. The highly rated public middle school has a total enrollment of 1,072 students. It offers classes from grades sixth through eighth and has a student-to-teacher ratio of 14 to 1. Based on state test scores, 84% of its students are proficient in reading and 66% are in math. Niche gives it a grade of an A, and GreatSchools gives it a rating of 7 out of 10.

Ecology Park

Ecology Park is one of the only outdoor spaces in Sidley that residents can go to for recreational purposes. Designed as a passive recreational facility, the park offers a 4-foot wide, stone dust pathway through the existing woodlands and wildflower meadow near Conestoga Road. Visitors can take walks, walk their dogs, jog or run through the natural park. A wooden boardwalk also provides an elevated view of the wetland habitat in the area. The Conestoga Trail is its most popular trail. Residents love coming to Ecology Park to relax and spend time with family and friends. A picnic grove in the park provides several picnic tables and pedestal grills for visitors to utilize. The park is open daily from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Spring Mill Complex

Spring Mill Complex, or locally known as Michael Gunkle Spring Mill, was built in 1793. It operated in the area until the 1940s. The 2.5-story, banked stone historic grist mill can be found on Moores Road near its intersection of Conestoga Road. Its complex includes the contributing building of a 2.5-story, stuccoed stone miller's house, a 1-story stone smokehouse, a 1-story stone spring house, and a 1-story stone carriage house. On December 14, 1978, it was listed to the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).
