Meadowbrook

The unincorporated community is located within the Township of Abington in Montgomery County in the state of Pennsylvania. Nearby communities include Bethayres, Bustleton, Rydal, and Roslyn. The main roadways within the neighborhood are Valley Road, Moredon Road, Mill Road, and Welsh Road. 

Historical Farm

Within the community is a 28-acre farm donated to the Urban Land Institute in 2003 by J. Liddon Pennock, Jr. The Pennocks were prominent philanthropists and horticulturists. The ULI was founded in 1936 and has over 30,000 members worldwide. Their goal is to utilize the land and create sustainable and thriving communities. The property, located off of Washington Lane, contains 20 acres of woodlands in addition to the main house that was built in 1936. There are many English-style gardens and greenhouses within the property as well as a retail shop. Robert McGoodwin designed the main house in the English Cotswold style for Pennock. Many of the gardens produced flowers that were shown during the local Flower Show held annually in March.

Neighborhood

The area is home to the Holy Redeemer Hospital located on Huntingdon Pike. The Catholic Health System has been providing medical care to the greater area for over 95 years. The tradition began with the Sisters of the Redeemer, who also founded the Redeemer Village in 1982 and acquired Holy Redeemer Lafayette in 1992. The facility was built in 1959 and today has the following:

Just north of the neighborhood is the Glencairn Museum, located on Cathedral Road. The religious art museum was built in 1928 in a building that was once home to Raymond and Mildred (Glenn) Pitcairn. Some of the exhibitions include religious collections of the following:

Demographics
