Bluestone Country Club

Bluestone Country Club was established in 1949 as the Meadowlands Country Club. Its Championship Course was designed by William Gordon and his son David Gordon and was built on the former pasture of land for horses and cattle. The layout was redesigned in the mid-1990s when the Maryland-based firm of Ault, Clark and Associates added seven new holes to the course. In 2007, the Championship Course was the hosting venue for the U.S. Amateur. That same year, the country club became the first private country club in the U.S. to open itself to military families. On June 18, local service people who served in Iraq and Afghanistan and their families were invited to use the club's recreational facilities to celebrate the township's Armed Forces Appreciation Day. In 2016, because of a number of financial troubles, the club was sold and renamed Bluestone Country Club. It is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 11. p.m. On Sundays, it is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
