The Historic Anthony Wayne House

Colonial Way is just walking distance from some great historic landmarks in Pennsylvania. The Anthony Wayne House is a museum located at 2049 Waynesborough Road. The museum was built in 1724 and has since been enlarged.

For several years, the building was home to Anthony Wayne, a soldier, officer, and American Revolutionary War General. At the museum, you can learn about the historical importance of Major General Anthony Wayne. Visitors can see his ancestral home, collections, and property, representing seven generations of the Wayne family.

The museum has been deemed a National Historic Landmark and offers visitors an interactive and educational experience.

Parks & Recreation

The charming area of Colonial Way is home to growing families looking to live a comfortable lifestyle in suburban Pennsylvania. One of the many amenities that the area offers is great access to local parks and walking trails.

Fox Hollow Trail

The Fox Hollow trail is just a 2-minute drive or 15-minute walking distance from Colonial Way and is located one mile from Cedar Hollow Road to the far end on Waynesborough road.

The Fox Hollow trail offers a great scenic walking trail for residents. In addition, the trail is 2 miles long round trip, making it the perfect strip for residents to stroll through by foot or by bicycle with their families and pets.

In 2017, the trail was brought to its full completion with the completed long-awaited recreational amenity. The trail was built in conjunction with the Chapel Hill development and weaves through stunning woodlands into a stream valley.

There is a parking lot located at 222 South Valley Road, approximately halfway along the trail for those who prefer to drive and walk along the trail.

The Fox Hollow Trail got its name after the Parks & Recreation Department conducted an online survey and received tons of emails and calls from residents. The Parks & Recreation Department decided on the name following the submission from a resident of a resident who has enjoyed watching the foxes frolic on the property over the years.

Mill Park

Mill Park is a 19-acre park with a baseball field, softball field, two batting cages, a picnic pavilion, and restrooms. The park is well-loved by residents looking to spend time with friends and family.

The park is also home to Samantha's playground, which was built in memory of a young girl from the area who died at a young age.

The spacious park acts as a venue for family fun and recreational activities, including the Chester Valley Little League, which uses the ball fields for their baseball and softball seasons.

Mill Park is a local gem and brings together members of the community.
